2 Fun Things to do as an Adult in Disney World
"But Disney is for kids!" I can't tell you how many times I've heard this. Nor can I tell you just how untrue it is. Disney honesly has no age and when they say "there's something for everyone," they mean it. Here are two fun things you can do in Disney as an adult that you couldn't do there as a kid.
2) Drink Around The World, Epcot
A rite of passage for every Disney kid once they turn 21 is to "drink around the world" at Epcot's World Showcase. Give yourself a strategy and do your best to stick to your budget. You can start at either Mexico or Canada and work your way around. Some may opt for a beer in each country, while others may choose to go for cocktails or mixed drinks. If you're feeling extra adventurous, one word: SHOTS. But remember, you have 11 countries to go so pace yourself. TIP: If you're sticking with beers, it may be tempting to start in Mexico as the first few countries on that end tend to have lighter beers that are nice and easy to drink but - take my word for it - the heavier beers in the UK and Canada will go down much easier at the beginning of your adventure than they will at the end!
1) Hit the Boardwalk
Years ago, Disney Springs (formerly Downtown Disney) had a special adults-only section called Paradise Island, an obvious nod to classic film Pinocchio. While Paradise Island is no more, adult fun remains alive and well at WDW. Don't believe me? Visit the Boardwalk after dark. Don't forget your dancing shoes and hit the Atlantic Dance Hall to get your boogie on. When you're ready to catch your breath, mosey on over to Jellyrolls for a show like no other! Raise a glass as you enjoy the musical stylings of a pair of piano prodigies. No request is too obscure. These musical maestros can play anything. But hey, keep it clean, you are still in Disney ya know!
